on energy decay of an n-dimensional thermoelasticity system with a nonlinear weak damping
we study the exponential decay of global solution for an n-dimensional thermo-elasticity systemin a bounded domain of ℜn . by using the multiplier technique and constructing an energy functional welladapted to the system, the exponential decay is proved.

Let u solve the damped Klein–Gordon equation ( ∂ t − ∑ ∂ xj +m Id +γ(x)∂t ) u = 0 on R with m > 0 and γ ≥ 0 bounded below on a 2πZ-invariant open set by a positive constant. We show that the energy of a solution decays at a polynomial rate. This is proved via a periodic observability estimate on R.
Global Existence and Decay of Energy to Systems of Wave Equations with Damping and Supercritical Sources
This paper is concerned with a system of nonlinear wave equations with supercritical interior and boundary sources, and subject to interior and boundary damping terms. It is well-known that the presence of a nonlinear boundary source causes significant difficulties since the linear Neumann problem for the single wave equation is not, in general, well-posed in the finite-energy space H(Ω) × L(∂Ω...

We study the resonances associated to the transmission problem for a strictly convex obstacle provided that the speed of propagation of the waves in the interior of the obstacle is strictly greater than the speed in the exterior. We prove that there are no resonances in a region of the form Im z C1 jzj ?1 ; jRezj C2 > 0. Using this we obtain some estimates on the decay of the local energy.
